It's not just goodbye. It's thank you.

"Never say goodbye because goodbye means going away and going away means forgetting." - Peter Pan

So we won't say goodbye. Instead we want to say thank you.

Yes, Nothin' but Nola is closing the doors (soon) as we close one door to open another. But this isn't a sad goodbye or 'see you later'.

We are filled with so much joy and gratefulness. We are so grateful for each and every one of you. We're grateful for your support and your encouragement. We are beyond grateful that you believed in our mission and loved our granola.

We are filled with joy to have gotten to know so many of you amazing people, wonderful customers, and heart-warming friends (some customers we now even call friends)!! You truly are amazing and remarkable people and we're honored that our paths crossed on this delicious, world-changing journey.

Nothin' but Nola is filled with so much of our hearts. And now each one of you has left a footprint on this path to end world hunger. You've helped us do something amazing. We've been able to donate nearly 3,000 meals to #fighthunger (and hopefully a few more over the next month).

What you do matters. What you say matters. What you choose to purchase matters. What you support matters. Even though we'll be turning off the oven soon and closing the kitchen doors, we hope this message will inspire you forever.

The shop will remain open throughout the next month, so hurry and grab a few more bags before they're gone!! Every bag you buy will continue to #fighthunger, donate one meal, and spread the message of hope.

Sending you a HUGE internet hug full of so much love and thanks,

xo

Chocolate-Dipped Pineapple Topped with Granola

You're the pineapple of my eye.

Chocolate.

Oh, chocolate.

Did someone say granola?

Yum.

Chocolate-dipped fruit rolled in granola is like...

heaven in chocolate-dipped fruit form.

the best day of summer.

oh-my-gawsh-I-want-to-dance good.

Buuut chocolate-dipped pineapple rolled in granola is like ...

way better.

It's also super easy to make. You can make it with your kiddos and get them excited about learning how to cut a pineapple and use a double boiler (parental guidance necessary!). You can whip these up real quickly for a last minute girls night! Or you can make a batch and store them in the fridge to eat yourself all week long (my fave)!

However you choose to make, eat, and share these, I hope you love them!

Don't stress about the recipe. There aren't exact amounts since the amount of pineapple you use may vary. Also, chocolate. You can dunk the whole darn piece of pineapple right into the bowl of chocolate love or can just dip the end! It's all about your preference ... and level of chocolate lovin'.

Chocolate-Dipped Pineapple Topped with Granola

1-2 cups pineapple, chopped
1/4-1/2 cup Chocolate Chips
1-2 tbsp Coconut Oil
1/4 cup Granola

1. Cut pineapple into bite-sized chunks.
2. Use a double boiler to melt your chocolate chips and coconut oil. Or you can make your own double boiler, like I do! Fill a small pot 1/3 of the way full with water. Set a small bowl on top, so that it rests on top of the pot. Set the stove to medium-low heat and add your chocolate and coconut oil to the bowl. Stir constantly until the chocolate is completely melted.
3. Dip pineapple into chocolate and set upright to cool.
4. Sprinkle granola over chocolate-dipped pineapple.
5. Place in the fridge for 30 min - 1 hour to cool.
6. Eat up, buttercup!

Pineapple Upside Down Oatmeal | Healthy + Delicious

Cake.

Am I the only one that craves cake (or brownies. or chocolate. or ice cream. or anything sweet) before 6am?!

I didn't think so.

But, starting your day with a slice of pie (although it sounds awesome) isn't the best recipe (ha! get it?) for a great, nutritious breakfast! And chances are, that ever wonderful sugar crash will you hit you right about the time you make it to work, rendering you, well, useless.

Fruits are my go-to sweet tooth fix. They're sweet and juicy. And on top on some warm, steamy oatmeal. Oh. My. Jam. Oatmeal is such a hearty breakfast that can be packed with so much nutritional goodness, from ground flax to chia seeds to protein-rich nut butters. So, I decided to sweeten it up a bit with some pineapple, organic brown sugar, and nutty granola, of course.

You don't have to wait until tomorrow morning. Oatmeal is the bomb at dinner, too.

Pineapple Upside Down Oatmeal
(serves 1)

1 cup water
1/2 cup rolled oats
2-3 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup diced pineapple
1/4 cup An Apple a Day granola

1. Bring water to a boil and add oats. Cook until all water is absorbed and oats have become a soft "oatmeal"-like consistency.
2. Remove from stoveup and pour into a bowl. Add brown sugar and cinnamon and mix well.
3. Top with pineapple and granola.
4. Eat up, sunshine!

Banana Pops - where the fun doesn't stop!!

Banana pops are the new cake pops. Haven't you heard? They're cute. They're chic. They're easy. They're healthy. And delicious (can I get an Amen?!)! Kids love 'em. Adults want 'em.

So, I hope your pantry is stocked with peanut butter and granola (nothin' but nola?) and I hope you have a banana tree in your backyard.

Banana Pops

1 banana
1/4 cup peanut butter
2-4 tbsp granola
cake pop/lollipop sticks

1. Slice 1 inch chunks of banana.
2. Slide one piece of banana onto a cake pop stick. Top with lots of peanut butter. Slide another piece of banana on top and push down to help the banana "stick" to the peanut butter.
3. Roll to coat peanut butter in granola.
4. Serve immediately and chow down!!

Mini Pancake Sliders | #tinyfoodmakesmeswoon

Did someone say pancakes?

I'm in!

Mini pancakes?

I'll be there early.

Everyone loves tiny food. Be honest. You've awwed at tiny food somewhere, sometime - those adorable tiny, baby cookies that you can't help but eat twelve of at a time, or those mouth-watering hamburger sliders that are all over pinterest.

#tinyfoodmakesmeswoon

I don't feel bad about eating 5 and they're the perfect size for the kiddos. It's a win win!!

Not to mention that these are perfect for any baby shower, wedding shower, brunch, family get-together, or any event involving food and lots of people!

Serve these at your next brunch. I promise you'll be the talk of the town (or of the brunch, at least)!

Or you can choose to make these for yourself, early, before the family is awake, and eat them all ... like I did. Guilty!

Mini Pancake Sliders
(serves: a large crowd or one hungry lady)

2 cup freshly ground oat flour
1/2 cup gluten free flour (or flour of choice)
2 tbsp ground flax
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp sea salt
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
1.5 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
2 tbsp coconut oil, melted and cooled
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp brown sugar

toppings:
banana

strawberries
blueberries
maple syrup

1. Combine the flours, flax, baking powder, sea salt, and cinnamon in a bowl. Use a whisk to get ride of any clumps and mix well.
2. In a separate bowl, combine the milk, coconut oil, eggs, vanilla extract, maple syrup, and brown sugar. Mix well. And sniff. Yum!
3. Add your wet ingredients to the dry and mix until combined.
4. Spoon onto a griddle or stovetop (medium heat) one tablespoon at a time. It may not seem like enough, but trust me it is! We're making mini pancakes!!
4. Cook until each side is golden brown. Aren't they the cutest?! #tinyfoodmakesmeswoon
5. Arrange on a serving platter and top each pancake with a slice of banana, a slice of strawberry, and one blueberry. Drizzle syrup over all of the pancakes or let your guests pour their own maple syrup.
6. Prepare for lots of "awwwwww"s. Everyone loves tiny food! #tinyfoodmakesmeswoon

Brownie (or granola) points for the first person to comment with the number of times I said #tinyfoodmakesmesoon in this one blog post.

Chocolate-Granola Dipped Almond + Date Truffles

Be still my chocolate loving heart. These are too good to be true. But they're not. Because they're real. I made them. And they're delicious. Your taste buds are going to dance like they never have before. It's a chocolate-loving healthy and oh so good-for-you dance party in your mouth!! If that doesn't sound exciting, then you should probably eat more chocolate!

I love chocolate.

I love granola.

Chocolate + granola.

Did you just say heaven?

I think so.

Plus these are packed with body-loving, nutrient dense goodness.

Almonds, dates, and peanut butter.

Naturally sweetened with honey.

They're great even without the chocolate.

So, you could forgo the chocolate if you wanted.

But why would you?

Chocolate.

Enough said.

Let's not waste anymore time!

Chocolate-Granola Dipped Almond + Date Truffles
(makes approx 20 1-inch truffles)

3/4 cup almonds
12-16 medjool dates, pitted
1 T cocoa powder
2-3 T peanut butter
1-2 T honey
1 cup milk or dark chocolate chips
1 tbsp coconut oil
1/2 cup Goin' Nuts granola

1. Add almonds to a food processor and process until crushed into an almond-flour like consistency. Remove and set aside.
2. Add the medjool dates (pitted) to the food processor, and process until crushed and sticky. The dates will form together in a big ball.
3. Add almonds, cocoa powder, peanut butter, and honey to the dates and process for 1-2 minutes or until mixed completely. This mixture will be very thick, so you may need to use a spoon to help the food processor! Go ahead and sneak a bite. No one is watching!
4. Form into 1" balls and place on a tray covered with waxed paper. You can add additional honey if the mixture isn't sticky enough.
5. Freeze for 20-30 minutes or until "hard".
6. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate in a double boiler (or microwave) along with the coconut oil.
7. Dip the truffles into the chocolate to coat half of the truffle. Sprinkle granola over the warm chocolate or dip the chocolate-covered truffle in granola to coat. I'll let you decide!
8. Refrigerate for 20-30 minutes until hardened.
9. Bon appetit!

You can store these in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.

Share a photo of your truffles on Instagram and use the hashtag #nbnrecipe so we can drool over your awesome culinary skills!!

A Farmers Market Brought to You ... Wherever You Are!!

We love a good farmers market!! It's the perfect opportunity to find new favorite eats and handmade goods and to get to know the people who make them. We love farmers markets so much that we wanted to create the farmers market experience so that you can enjoy all of the goodness of a real, in-person market, right from your phone, wherever you may be!

So tomorrow, Friday, May 15, we are launching our very first #virtualfarmersmarket at 10am EST, hosted on Instagram! We're partnering with nearly a dozen other stores to bring you the best of online shopping every Friday! There will be the most delicious eats from granola (of course!) to chocolate to cookies and spectacular handmade, handcrafted goods from clutches and totes (that fight human trafficking! yeah!) to watercolor illustrations and cards and luxurious body care products!

So how exactly does a virtual farmers market work?

Each shop will be featuring a unique, one-of-a-kind item for sale every week! You'll be able to check out without even leaving Instagram by commenting on the shop's photo with your email address! The shop will then send a payment link to your email address. Once you've paid your invoice, your order will be complete! Easy as pie! :)

One of the best parts of a farmers market is being able to "walk the loop" and visit all of the different shops to see what's for sale! So, we're recreating that right in Instagram. Each shop will be tagging another shop in their photo. All you have to do is click on the photo and click the tagged shop to head to the next shop. You'll be able to do this for every single shop. Eventually you'll make it back to the shop you started with! Voila! You've walked the loop!! If you've ever participated in a loop giveaway, this will work in the same manner.

This is going to be a fantastic opportunity for you to "meet" new shops and small businesses, learn about new, amazing products and eats, and hopefully find some great, exciting goods and deals to grab every week!

Have a shop in mind that you'd like to see at the market? Let me know in the comments!!

Pizza. (caution ... we haven't tried this one yet!)

This dish may look difficult, but it's as easy as pie (yum!). It's perfect for spring and summer and is a great dish when having friends over for dinner - simple and easy yet delicious and full of flavor.

We used the granola crust with salmon, but it would be great with a wide variety of fish.

Some great side dishes to serve along with your salmon:

roasted brussel sprouts
roasted asparagus
roasted potatoes and fresh green beans
quinoa

Granola Crusted Salmon
(serves 2)

1 egg
1/2 cup Goin' Nuts granola

1. Preheat oven to 350 degress.
2. Using a food processor, crush the granola. Set aside.
3. Whisk egg in a small bowl.
4. Brush salmon (skin-side down) generously with egg.
5. Sprinkle granola atop salmon and using the back of a spoon, press into the egg coating to stick.
6. Bake for 20-25min or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

A Homemade Yogurt Recipe for Granola Lovers!

Yogurt and granola are the perfect pair. The sweetest, crunchy goodness atop a bowl of creamy, delicious yogurt. Oh, my land of taste bud happiness!! We know that for so many of you granola lovers, your favorite granola combo is granola + yogurt. After all, it is the perfect way to start your day ... and the perfect afternoon snack to curb your sweet tooth cravings ... and the perfect late night treat (well, for some of us)!!

Yogurt + granola?

Enough said.

Homemade yogurt + granola?

You didn't know that it could get even better, did you?

Creating made-from-scratch (and with lots of love) food to nourish you and your family is one of the sweetest ways to spend these long summer (almost!) days. And what better to make than some homemade yogurt to go with your morning bowl of granola?

Our sweetest friend, Rachel Cox of Oh Simple Thoughts, has created the most delicious homemade vanilla bean yogurt recipe to share with you all. This recipe is full of so much love and so much deliciousness. You may want to clear your schedule tonight, pull out the apron, grab a glass of wine, and enjoy yourself! Seriously. Did we mention how delicious homemade yogurt is?

This would make the perfect weekend girl's day. Invite over your ladies, grab some tea or wine, and whip up some homemade yogurt. Choose a variety of toppings and create your own topping bar. Don't forget the granola!

Or call your kiddos into the kitchen and show them how yogurt is made. Kids love mixing and stirring and helping create food that they can later proudly proclaim look what I made!! It's the best.

Or grab your apron, turn up the music, and get lost in the recipe. Cooking by yourself (with a little Frank on the stereo. Frank Sinatra, of course!) can be so relaxing!!

Be sure to check out Rachel's delicious homemade yogurt recipe and while you're there, take a peek around her blog - it's full of so much love, and wisdom, and truth. It's one of our favorite places!!

The 7 Ingredients Found in All Nothin' but Nola Granolas

Our granola is made using the freshest, highest quality ingredients that nourish your body and promote a healthy life ... because we only use ingredients to create a product that we're proud to eat ourselves and feed to our family. Good, healthy, nutritious food is at the core of living a full and healthy life. It is so very important to us. For us. For you. For the world. We want to share the taste-bud-dancing-deliciousness that healthy snacking can be!

We also want you to know exactly what you're eating when you're eating our granola by the handful (or the bagful!). :) It's OK. We know you do it! We do, too! (It's just that good!) So, you can flip over your bag of granola and read the list of ingredients at any time. You'll be able to pronounce every ingredient, and chances are they're ingredients that you have in your very own kitchen. No unnatural flavorings or additives or crazy chemicals that you're unsure of. Just basic, delicious, nutritious ingredients that are combined to make a granola that will make your taste buds dance.

Cupid Shuffle, anyone?

So, we're sharing with you the 7 ingredients that are found in all of our granola flavors and a little fun fact about why they make our granola so great!

Organic Rolled Oats
It's granola. Duh. Plus these bad boys are packed with immune-boosting, cholesterol-reducing, cancer-fighting, body-loving soluble fiber. Enough said! Go stuff your face.

Organic Ground Flax
At the beginning of 2015, we removed wheat germ from our granola to provide a wheat-free granola. We replaced it with organic ground flax, and we couldn't be more proud of this tiny, nutritious seed! Flax may be one of the most powerful plant foods on the planet and is one heck of a body-loving, nutrition-promoting seed.

Honey
Honey is the bees knees. It's amazing - nature's best natural sweetener. Straight from the hives of local Colorado bees. Oh, thank you bees!

Pure Organic Maple Syrup
Nature doesn't let us down - another one of the best natural sweeteners. Straight from a maple tree. Pure. No additives. We like to keep it simple and delicious!

Organic Brown Sugar
For the slightest extra sweetness. Organic. And delicious. Because all of our granola is slightly sweet and totally delicious.

Organic Vanilla Extract
The slightest hint of vanilla straight from the vanilla bean. It's the Nothin' but Nola signature touch!

Salt
Another of nature's wonders. Where do we get our salt? Straight from the earth! The tiniest bit is used in every batch.

If you ever have any questions about the ingredients in our granola, don't hesitate to give us a shout! We are always available at info@nothinbutnola.com and would be tickled pink to hear from you and answer your questions!!

8 Easy Ways to Upgrade Your Breakfast

I know that mornings are THE busiest time of the day. So, finding time to eat breakfast, let alone a healthy, nutritious, superfood-packed breakfast, is next to impossible. Today, I'm sharing with you 8 Easy Ways to Upgrade Your Breakfast!

Because breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Why you may ask? Oh, I'm so happy you did! Your body has been in a state of rest for 7+ hours. But while you've been resting your eyes, your body has been busy working away, healing and rejuvenating - taking care of all of the physical stresses from yesterday and preparing for a brand new day (which is why sleep is so important, too). Replenishing your body with a nutritious breakfast after a night of hard work is vital. Treat your body like the amazing machine that it is. Kick start every day with an awesome, power-packed breakfast. Here are 8 easy ways to help start your day with an upgraded ("better than before"/"better than the original") breakfast.

ONE | Add some color with fresh fruit and berries

Fresh fruit and berries not only create a beautiful bowl or plate, but they're also packed with so much nutrient-goodness. So, whatever you're choosing for breakfast - cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, smoothie, pancakes, toast, etc. - add some fresh fruit to the side or on top!

TWO | Amp up your protein with nuts and nut butters

Nuts are a great way to add an extra dose of protein to your breakfast, which will help keep you fuller longer. Add a spoonful of your favorite nut butter (peanut, almond, cashew...) to your oatmeal, smoothie, or yogurt. Spread nut butter on top of your toast, pancakes, or waffles. Add some nuts to your oatmeal, cereal and on top of your yogurt. Go nuts!!

THREE | Sprinkle in a tablespoon of flaxseed

Flaxseed has been around for centuries and is considered a "superfood". It's high in omega 3s and fiber and all around body-loving goodness. You can find flaxseed in whole seed form or ground into a pounder/flour-like substance (this is my fave). You can mix it in with your oatmeal or pancake mix. Add it to smoothies. Sprinkle it in with dry cereal - then add milk. You can also use it in baked goods. So, if you're making muffins for breakfast, toss in a tablespoon or two.

FOUR | Grab a side of fresh juice or a smoothie

Regardless of what you're choosing to eat, adding a fresh juice (think freshly-juiced fruits and veggies) or a smoothie can truly start your day off with a power-packed list of fruits and veggies. We love this one, which you can easily find at Target and many grocers.

FIVE | Add a teaspoon of chia seeds

Chia! I'm sure by now you've heard of these tiny omega 3 powerhouses. They're amazing! You can add them to your smoothie (my fave), use them in baked goods, add to oatmeal (another fave), sprinkle into your yogurt, and so much more!

SIX | Drink a large glass of water

Water. Water. Water. I know that for some of you, you just don't. like. water. Others just don't understand that need to drink SO MUCH. Well, my friends, you are made up of more than 60% water. That's right. Over 60% of your body is water. So, consuming enough water every day is vital in order for your body to run correctly. Start your day with a large glass of water. Drink it before breakfast! It's one of the best ways to kick-start your day.

SEVEN | Swap processed sugars for natural sweeteners like honey or maple syrup

Need a little sweetness in your life? Skip the highly processed sugars and use honey or 100% pure maple syrup. You can add one or the other to any of the following to sweeten things up - pancake batter, smoothie, yogurt (especially plain yogurt),  oatmeal, on top of toast.

EIGHT | Add some greens

Until the recent smoothie craze, adding greens to your breakfast hasn't been of the norm. Breakfasts typically consist of sweet, flour-based products. So, try working some greens into your breakfast. Add them to your smoothie. Saute a side for your eggs or mix them right into the eggs and scramble. Drink a green juice that includes greens. Spinach and kale are two of the most popular, but there are plenty to choose from.

How do you upgrade your breakfast? Tell us in the comments below!

Salted Chocolate Popcorn with Granola

I had my first taste of sweet, delicious chocolate on my very first Easter. I was three months old. My sweet-tooth-loving grandmother couldn't wait any longer. Bless her heart, that Easter afternoon she passed along her very strong sweet tooth to her third granddaughter. Yes, it's true. I have a slight obsession with everything chocolate. And sweets in general.

I'm also a popcorn fan. It's typical to find me snacking on a bowl of fresh, stove-top popped popcorn most every afternoon. Salted. It's the best. So why not combine my two loves and create a sweet and salty delight. I thought it was a great idea. The finished result, though, is even better than I imagined.

Ladies and gentleman, I give you Salted Chocolate Popcorn with Granola. Stove-top popped deliciousness. You can of course make this using microwave popped popcorn. I promise you, though, that if you try this ... you'll never go back to microwave-popped popcorn ever again. Ever. It's that good.

If you have kiddos around, they're going to LOVE this. They'll stand over the pot waiting ... patiently ... for that first pop. It's the most amazing thing. Beware - they're going to start asking you for this every day. Every. Single. Day. But its OK. You'll want it every day, too!

Salted Chocolate Popcorn with Granola
(serves a crowd; makes one large bowl)

3/4 cup popcorn kernels
1/4 cup + 2 tbsp sunflower oil
salt, to taste
1/2 cup chocolate
1-2 tbsp coconut oil
1/2 cup Goin' Nuts granola

1. Add kernels to a large pot. They should completely cover the bottom of the pot.
2. Top with sunflower oil. The oil should barely cover all kernels.
3. Place over medium heat. It will take a few minutes before you hear the first few pops. Once the kernels begin popping, you will have 45seconds - 2min before the popcorn is ready. When the popping starts to slow and there's more time in between each pop, you're almost done. Once the pops are 5-10s apart, you can remove from the stove and dump into your bowl.* Make sure not to wait too long or your popcorn will start to burn.
4. Melt chocolate and coconut oil over a double boiler or in your microwave (heat for 10 seconds at a time, stirring in between).
5. Drizzle chocolate over popcorn and top with salt (sea salt or kosher salt is best) and granola.
6. Now dig in! You won't be able to stop!!

*Be very careful! Some kernels like to pop once they're in the bowl and can send popcorn flying out of the bowl!

Share a photo on Instagram of you enjoying your popcorn and use #nbnrecipe!!

One for One: How Do We Do It?

One in every seven people in the U.S. are struggling with hunger right now. They aren't able to provide enough food to feed their families. They're going to school hungry, on empty bellies. They're wondering where their next meal will come from. Imagine for a second ... walking down the sidewalk, you pass dozens of people. One in every seven of those people haven't eaten today.

Hunger is a huge issue in the U.S. and across the world. There are millions of people in the U.S. alone fighting hunger every day. We believe every person has the right to have access to healthy and nutritious food. We believe every person should go to bed at night with a full belly. We believe that no child should wonder where his or her next meal is going to come from.

And we believe that we can make a difference. You can make a difference. And together, we can change the world. We believe that fighting the current battle with hunger can be an integrated part of our daily lives. What if each of us donated one meal to #fighthunger every single day? What if every morning when you ate breakfast, you provided one meal to a person in need of food? We believe that this isn't a big dream. We believe it is a reality and one that we are creating.

For every bag of our granola you buy, we donate one meal to fight hunger. So, every time you open a bag of Nothin' but Nola granola, you can breathe a deep breath of hope that this battle to rid the world of hunger is one that we can win. Every time you top your morning yogurt with granola, know that you've given food to someone else who is struggling. You've given more than food. You've given hope.

You ROCK!

So, how do we do it? How does our One Bag. One Meal. program work? We're so glad you asked!!

It's as easy as that. This amazing circle of world-changing hunger-fighting happens all thanks to you. It starts with your purchase. It starts with your support. And we cannot thank you enough. We've already donated over 2,000 meals and we can't wait to watch that number grow, as we work to fight hunger across the U.S. and around the world.

Chocolate + Granola + Peanut Butter Smoothie

Breakfast. Dessert. Mid-afternoon snack. Late night treat. This smoothie is perfect for any time of the day!! After all, is there ever a bad time for chocolate?

Naturally sweetened with a banana and pineapple and jazzed up with a rich, creamy nut butter (we used peanut, but almond would be great too), this smoothie is made to fill you up and put a smile on your face. We've added granola to the top for a delicious crunch. Our favorite for this recipe is our Goin' Nuts. You could also use An Apple a Day, with the apple chips removed, for a delicious flavor of cinnamon and nutmeg - this would be great for the cooler months!

This is my favorite afternoon indulgence. It curbs my 3 o'clock sweet tooth and leaves me feeling great afterwards - no sugar crash! It's also very filling which is great to hold me over until dinnertime.

Whatever time of the day, I'm sure you're going to fall in love!

Chocolate + Granola + Peanut Butter Smoothie
(serves one)

1 banana, ripe
1/4 cup pineapple
2 tbsp peanut butter
1/2 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
1 tbsp cocoa powder
4-6 ice cubes

Blend everything together. Pour into a glass. Top with granola. Let your taste buds do a little dance!

How to Make Giving Back a Part of Your Daily Life

The ripple effect of giving back in small ways has a HUGE impact. Making the world a better place doesn't take some gigantic idea. It takes lots of small acts of kindness strung together day after day after day. It takes lots of individual choices to do better and love more. Change doesn't start in some large corporate office around a big sophisticated table. No, change starts with you. Right where you are. At home. At the store. At work. Picking up your kids. When you make giving back a part of your everyday life, it impacts the world around you. Amazingly, it also impacts you. In one of the greatest possible ways.

We're no strangers to giving back. Our One Bag. One Meal. program is at the very heart of everything we do. Fighting hunger. Giving back. Making the world a better place. This is the why behind Nothin' but Nola. So, today we're feeling inspired by our one for one model and want to share with you 8 awesome and easy ways to make giving back a part of your daily life, using the one for one model!

Teach your kids about giving back and sharing with others. Create a challenge amongst a group of friends to see who can do the most good in one week (now that's our kind of challenge)!! Set a goal to do at least one of these once a week. Make giving back a part of your daily life.

1. Buy one extra canned good for every canned good you purchase and donate to your local food bank.

2. For every compliment you receive, give one to a stranger.

3. When you go to the grocery store, for every grocery cart you use (typically one!), put away one random grocery cart that was left in the parking lot.

4. For every note you receive in the mail, send one to a friend that needs some love!

5. For every pound of produce you purchase at the store, purchase the equivalent and donate to your local food bank.

6. For every dinner out that you treat yourself to, donate the equivalent of one meal to your local food bank (average $0.16).

7. For every hug you receive, give one to someone else! :)

8. Make an effort to purchase products with one for one models!
